The shop was empty on a Tuesday morning, my husband and I were the only customers at the shop. The young lady behind the counter did not greet us as we entered or approached the counter. We were standing at the cash register while the barista walked back and forth cleaning her station and prepping for the next customer. This was my initial thought, I figured she would smile and ask us to wait briefly, but she didn't even acknowledge we were standing at the cash register. I gave her another couple of minutes and unfortunately, she never asked to take our order.I left the shop and a lady standing out front asked if we had been helped since we were walking out empty-handed. The coffee, selection, and atmosphere at this place are fantastic, and the prices are quite reasonable. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired. I've lost count of how many times I've waited up to five minutes for someone to come to the register to take my order, despite there being three staff members in the back who could easily assist. When I finally brought it up, I was met with an attitude, told that I needed to wait because they were busy. Well, the customers waiting at the register are busy too, often trying to grab something quick before work. It doesn’t seem unreasonable to expect at least one staff member to be available at the register to help paying customers quickly.
I made a quick stop here to refuel and found this place conveniently located just a block from the bike path. They offer a wide variety of coffee options. We didn’t try any food since we had just finished brunch in Sheepshead Bay. I grabbed my caffeine fix and sat outside on a bench. The weather was sunny, and the street was surprisingly quiet for 1 PM. They kindly let me use the restroom upon request, and the staff was friendly, even allowing another cyclist to bring their bike inside. I’ll definitely return to try the energy balls!
It's a VERY chill place. Come in, grab some coffee, and get some work done. The staff have always treated me with kindness (granted I try to always treat people with kindness myself) so I have always experienced a pleasant fine with them. Then there's the food. THE WORST PLACE ON EARTH. THE CRIMINAL WORK THERE. THEY ALL NEED TO BE JAILED. INCREDIBLY RUDE, LAZY, OFFENSIVE AND DONT BELONG TO ROCKAWAY BEACH. THEY NEED TO OPERATE IN THE BRONX. I am suing this place. Hopefully will go out of business soon
I spent a week in New York and stayed in Rockaway Beach. This was our favorite place for a delicious breakfast! You can’t go wrong with the breakfast sandwich and the dirty chai latte. If we lived nearby, I would definitely be a regular here!
I love this cafe! I have been going here for a few years and I am never disappointed. They have good food and good drinks. It really feels like a place you can lose track of time in. This is definitely a place to go to in Far Rockaway.

Best coffee spot on the peninsula. Great staff that only trolls would complain about. Excellent coffee and they have vegan options too!
