On numerous occasions driving south on PCH I've noticed this spot, but never ventured in. It's old school Italian everything fresh, great service, and servers who are willing to tell you what is in a dish. Everything from start to finish was top notch. The bruschetta on thick warm bread with melting mozzarella cheese, fresh basil and tomatoes, was an exceptional starter. The signature mushroom dish sautéed in olive oil and a lemon garlic sauce is also a must to start. Had to split entree Pasta Tombrello, with ground Italian sausage and mushrooms in a Bianco Diavolo sauce, to save room for dessert. They actually have spumoni either 2 or 5 scoops. We chose the two. This is nowhere close to being authentic Italian food. I could have done better with him with making chili Mac at home with using a Chef Boyardee can. The portions are a pretty good size, but I think they are just offsetting with the lack of quality. But at least our waiter did a pretty good job. Honestly save your time and money and just go to Olive Garden, you'll get a better meal. I was very disappointed in this place, and I honestly was looking for a homeless person to give my leftovers to, as I was walking to the car and driving down PCH. my friend picked this for a dinner out. i've passed this place for years so i'm glad i was able to try it. luckily it was busy but we didn't have to wait to be seated. my friend suggested the mozz salad and it was super yummy. i would order just this next time. i copied my friend on the pasta, but sorry i can't remember the name. mushrooms, tomato. server was attentive. parking easy to find. will be back.
I have been there a couple of times, and it's one of the places that I would definitely go back to. The Eggplant Parmigiana and Lasagna are amazing. There is usually a wait period, but it's totally worth it. Inside the restaurant is so quaint and lovely. I highly recommend it. The service is very good, and parking is easy to find. My favorite Italian spot to come to in Orange County. Portions are big, but it always makes for good leftovers. It's a super cozy atmosphere that's a great spot for date night or a just a casual bite to eat.
The food was super yummy and the martini cocktail list was to DIE for! Our server was incredible friendly and it was a very pleasant atmosphere right just steps from the beach. Such a cute date night pick.
