I booked a table here for our high-time dinner. I and my people were very disappointed. first, when I booked, I made a special table request. in the arrival, despite the name and reservation number, the personal did not seem to be acquainted, or interest in what we were, I do not know if this was because my message was not clearly communicated, or they were really not interested! some of the cutlery was dirty and when he pointed it to the waiter, he was told it was just a scratch. the food was moderate, sweet was cold and her famous Flambé dessert was completely open, a damp tinten fish! I have eaten in many restaraunts all over the world and this is extremely overpriced and overrated! unfor...
My husband and I celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary there this past weekend. We live on island and there are many good restaurants on the island, but i wanted to go someplace new so I chose Room With A View i am so glad we did. Terrific service, food and of course that view. Try to get one of the tables outside there are only 4 so I think the key is an early dinner and you probably have a better chance of having a table outdoors on veranda. Go here you will be happy that you chose it too. We will be back and bring our friends who visit us here on island.
We sat on the patio and it was the perfect spot. The beautiful view set the back drop for a lovely dinner with friends. Our waiter Aaron was fantastic and everyone loved the dishes we were served; from appetizers to dessert. I had the ahi tuna appetizer; fresh stuffed salmon w/house salad, mixed sautéed vegetables and garlic mash potatoes and, creme brûlée for dessert. A red blend wine from Bogle Vineyards, which was recommended by Aaron (who is a sommelier), topped it all off. Thank you Room With A View.
This was our second visit! We love it so much that we remembered its name and came back 13 years later. Our first visit was in February during the busy season, so I would recommend making a reservation. On our recent visit in August, a reservation wasn't necessary since it was outside of peak season. The menu offers a wide variety of options. I suggest sharing a meal, as the portions are quite large. You'll fall in love with the place and want to return year after year! The food was delicious, with a great variety of options ranging from seafood to meat dishes. We sat outside, which was quite comfortable, but the location left something to be desired as it was situated right above the pool. People in the pool could easily see us and overhear our conversations, which detracted from the overall ambiance of the restaurant. Everything else was wonderful, including the service, aside from the outdoor setting.
The view of Charlotte Amalie's harbor is stunning, and the ambiance is lovely. The service was satisfactory. However, the food was rather bland and lacked excitement. I ordered the filet with peppergrass sauce, and it was underwhelming—not impressive at all. My wife tried the chicken marsala, which was also decent but didn't offer anything memorable.
We are on vacation with our 16 year old son. This was an outstanding restaurant, from the decor to the service to the food. The surf and turf was incredible. My wife had stuffed salmon equally great. My son had the chicken parmigiana and is was fine but not like the other meals.
the view was outstanding, the food was good but not spectacular, and fairly expensive. there was a really good selection of wine by the glass, and reasonably priced. we had an outside table and watched the sun go down over the harbour. fabulous for a special occasion. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
We were on our honeymoon, could not have asked for a more romantic place to celebrate our special day. The food was amazing, we are avid foodies from Florida. Amzing view!
