We always enjoy eating along the waterfront here in Wilmington, and this was our first time at Rooster the Crow. All I have to say is Loaded Cheese Fries... Just get them... You can thank me later! Huge portions for those and the lunch items, fried chicken is amazing as well. We will absolutely be back again. Service was spectacular as well. Highly recommend!
Delicious is just one way to describe the food we experienced! The last bite was just as good as the first. Fresh ingredients! Wow. Seriously the best fried chicken and amazing cheese grits. Located in a late 1800s converted warehouse the ambiance is very cool. Great place...great atmosphere. Food is really good. You won't be disappointed. The portions are large so keep that in mind if you like to split something and not have leftovers. First time here so I can't comment on the fried chicken which is supposed to be the best.
Alicia (Ah lee C ah) was great and very nice. Please try the fried chicken (portion size is huge) and definitely the banana pudding (also the portion size was well enough for two people to share. Will definitely come back again!
Great little place! Terrific service and food. Vegetarians beware: ?southern? food means they put bacon in veggies you wouldn?t necessarily assume had bacon in them. Having said that, it made the fried cabbage delicious! ????

We had to wait for a table because the restaurant was very busy for Sunday brunch, but it was definitely worth it.
