My best friend and I decided to try out a new brunch spot and were looking forward to it, but unfortunately, we were left disappointed. We were seated fairly quickly and greeted by our server, who also happened to be the bartender. I ordered the French toast special, scrambled eggs a la carte, and a meat patty (whose name I can't recall). The first disappointment came when a larger group seated after us received their food before us. The bartender then informed us that the kitchen was backed up due to being understaffed, something he had failed to mention earlier. My husband treated me to a meal at Rooster's Kitchen, and it was absolutely delicious. He opted for the Big Shoulder salad and Turkey Noodle soup, which he thoroughly enjoyed. The soup and salad were filled with flavorful and fresh ingredients. I decided on a tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. The tomato soup had a thick texture, likely from pureed tomatoes and root vegetables, but I loved it. The flavor was outstanding. The sandwich was also delicious with great flavors. While many dishes at the restaurant are pork-based, based on our experience, I would recommend this place. I'm from out of town and was on the way to the Garage to grab dinner, saw this place while looking for parking and decided to make a quick change to eat here. The food was awesome, but Jackie our server was Amazing... As someone who has been in the restaurant business for almost 20 years I'm usually not impressed with the service I receive, Jackie is one the best servers I've ever had in my life. She was personable and helped us pick out the best things on the menu and took great care of us. Next time I'm in Indy I will be coming here and telling others I know they should eat here. We had a party of 3. It took 10-15 to be seated. Everyone was friendly on the staff. I got The Griddler. It was not really good at all. My husband got the original baked casserole that had berries and it tasted better than mine. It could be i just didn'tlike the flavor of the bourbon maple sauce on mine. It was too overwhelming. The biscuits and gravy were really good though! Myfriend got one of the normal breakfast items with turkey sausage. She really enjoyed everything except the potatoes were cold. Yum , yum, yum. No better place for after work dinner with friends and teammates. Very relaxed atmosphere with a huge menu of food and drinks. Not too pricey and great for lunch meetings as well. They serve typical American, Mexican Hoosier comfort foods. This is a fun place, with fun staff, who are very vested in making customers happy not just with the food, but their entire experience at Roosters overall. I would recommend Roosters for everyone that is looking for a fun experience with great food!Parking: Very limited
We stopped into this gem and are so glad we did! We ordered two sandwiches, and their brisket and pulled pork were phenomenal, 10/10. With one sandwich, we got the house chips, which were pretty good. The second sandwich, we got the fries. The only complaint is that they only gave you a reasonable portion of fries. One bite, and you'll definitely want more. 15/10 would recommend.
The food at Roosters is fantastic. I have dined here multiple times and it has never disappointed. The servers are friendly and attentive. However, the food did take a while to come out of the kitchen, so I suggest pre-ordering next time. It wasn't possible to order and eat within a 45 minute timeframe because of the wait.

Ordered lunch from them today and had the best cooked carrots I've ever gotten from a restaurant. If you love carrots, I highly recommend their charred carrot side dish.Food: 5/5
