I went to personally order a cater pull pork order for my son's graduation on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. The lady who was to take my order told me that I should go online to order, and that she was too busy because she was training two new staff members. I had questions that an online order wouldn't be able to answer. Again, I was told to use the online ordering system, and she had to go. (My husband later ordered the items online. Pulled pork was good. The brisket was dry. Roots has always been helpful and delicious in the past. Roots isn't far from home, convenient. Not now. In addition, I was going to order 3 lunches to go in addition to the catered order that day, but after the lack of help...

The food was outstanding! I ordered the smoked turkey sandwich paired with a side of potato salad. The sandwich was incredibly juicy, and the potato salad was delicious. It also came with coleslaw, which I didn't particularly enjoy, but that's just a personal preference since coleslaw isn't one of my favorite foods. My 3-year-old had mac and cheese and shared some pizza with his dad. They both loved it and finished everything. The atmosphere was pleasant; we chose to sit indoors because it was quite hot outside, but the patio area looked lovely. I will definitely return if I'm in the area again.

We visited Roots after checking out the delightful antique shop, Lucketts (which I highly recommend), just down the road. A local told us it was a must-visit, and she was absolutely right! What’s interesting about Roots is that it serves as both a restaurant and a kitchen/food store. The atmosphere has a charming, pioneer-like, almost rustic feel, making it an ideal spot for a family meal. The menu was quite refreshing, featuring soups, salads, sandwiches, and a few other light dishes. My Cobb salad was simply delicious.

What a charming restaurant! The food was fantastic. We ordered the half chicken served with corn pudding and baked beans. The beans were incredibly smoky and packed with brisket in every bite. The corn pudding was wonderfully soft and fluffy, while the chicken was incredibly juicy—just delicious! We also tried the meat lovers pizza, which was quite tasty as well. Don't forget to check out the ice cream sandwiches in the freezer; they’re definitely worth a try! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

I finally had the opportunity to visit this restaurant and market, and I was really impressed. The food was excellent! I ordered the BLT along with the marinated coleslaw, and it was served on toasted and buttered sourdough bread. This place has a unique vibe; it reminds me of a smaller and better version of Cracker Barrel, especially with its market section. They have a cozy indoor space as well as an outdoor area for dining. I will definitely be returning!

Decent place with good food but they’ve overpriced all items, especially when charging a kings ransom on carry out beer. $24 for a 4pack of local beer (Pilsner) that retails for 17.99 elsewhere, including the brewery which is in Vienna. If not for gouging, they would receive a higher rating from me. For two people to eat an hamburger each and carry out two 4 packs of beer, I spent over $80. Just silly, even during this period of record inflation.

This is a fantastic restaurant that I visit often. I absolutely love their double cheeseburgers and fries. The atmosphere is lovely, set in a beautiful countryside. The food is delicious, though the prices are a bit high. However, the clean surroundings and the charming little shop of artisan crafts, which features a selection of specialty wines and foods, make it worth it. The ambiance is great, too!

This place is a great find! If you want to grab a local wine or beer to take home or a sweet treat, they have plenty including some farmers preserves and honey. And the food is fantastic! I tried the tomato soup which was perfect for the foggy day. Their sandwiches look amazing! This isn’t fast food. They’re really cooking so grab a drink and have a seat. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

This is a really charming spot with a lovely selection of gifts. The brisket burger served on a delightful jalapeño cheese bun is fantastic. They also have a great wine selection!
