I had a very disappointing experience with Roots Natural Kitchen regarding a recent order. I placed an order on Saturday (August 31) through their website, and everything seemed fine until my dasher canceled at the last minute due to car problems. I received a text saying I should call Roots about the order, but when I did, they told me it wasn 't their issue since they partner with DoorDash for delivery and directed me to call DoorDash instead. This is the BEST place to eat when in Newark especially if you trying to eat healthy and no fast food! Vegetarian options: Various types of Tofu are prepared and served. Dietary restrictions: I am a diabetic and highly recommend the El Jefe Grain bowl with chicken or Tofu. The el jefe taste out of this world and you have a choice of with the “Works” or not if you have health problems I recommend without Tabisco sauce but with Avocado Lime squeezed. The food at this restaurant is consistently delicious, but unfortunately, they forgot to give us the cilantro lime sauce we requested on the side. This resulted in our dinner being a bit dry. I even added extra sauce to our order, but we still ended up with none. Next time, I'll make sure to check before driving 20 minutes back home. I have visited this restaurant multiple times and have never encountered any problems. The food has always been delicious and the prices are reasonable considering the generous portion sizes.
Today I had an amazing experience at roots, the food was delicious. I have never met such a great manager, Kaleef. Will definitely be coming back because of him!
