We have visited this restaurant several times, in groups and as a couple, for birthdays and even just for a Sunday lunch, and every time we have been its just perfectly brilliant.Our first visit was as a family and it was quite bewildering and a little daunting, not being presented with a menu or prices, but we went with the flow and thoroughly enjoyed it.The food is first class dare I say the best I have ever tasted and the wine is perfect (the house wine is better than most more expensive wines in other restaurants).I would recommend this place to anyone, on the proviso that they know they are prepared to eat whatever is placed in front of them and that they are not going to be worrying ab...
We are fortunate to have known Riccardo and his fantastic Al Boccon Venetian Wedding Feast concept since its beginnings in Richmond. It brings me great joy to say that it has also been a success in Wiltshire. The meal consisted of a variety of beautifully crafted Italian dishes, with at least twelve courses. Riccardo, the owner, introduced each dish with charm and served them with flair. From peppers to truffled pasta to aubergines to langoustines to scallops, each dish led up to the highlight of the meal: a succulent roast suckling pig with crispy skin and potatoes. Shortly after it's opening I visited this pub with a few friends and I found the quality of food to be superb albeit a touch heavy on the pocket, however, this has now been remedied and one can now order for £10 an utterly delicious plate of food and the pizzas are definitely the best I have ever tasted. The loos are fantastic, even down to there being a bidet in the ladies! All in all I cannot recommend Al Boccon di Vino country highly enough and I will definitely be visiting as soon as pubs and restaurants are opened once more.

Excellent Pizzas We are lucky to live within walking distance of Al Boocan do vino (Tilshead) and popped down to order 2 pizzas this evening. We ordered a Margherita and a Funghi and 5 minutes later they were done. A quick walk home and we were sat eating the best Italian pizza we have ever had. Absolutely delicious, delizioso! The Funghi pizza was loaded with a variety of mushrooms and both were packed with mozzarella. At £12-£14 each, they were excellent value for money too.
The food was probably a higher score than 3, but I’m rating the whole experience. We did not realise that this restaurant only provided a set menu , which was neither on display or priced! We were seated and the chef proceeded to run through the menu which was basically fish, fish and more fish with pork as the main attraction. None of our party was particularly keen on fish, but as he said “ if you don’t like , I’ll cook something else,” as long as it’s fish!
Truly unusual restaurant, brings Italy to middle England with a touch of the best beer from Germany delicious produce from all over including freshly cut St Danielle ham and gourmet standard home-made pasta and amazing sources.
