Under pressure as there was quite a line, I asked for them to throw in a second sausage roll, to be met with that's $9 something.Annoyed at this point I added something from the sweets display to raise the price over $10. Sausage roll was average and the caramel slice was also nothing special. Parked out front of bakery and noticed spilt drinks and lots of dirty hand prints on glass door and window. Ok maybe they had a busy day. Ordered pies and coffee. Beef pie had lots of meat. Coffee nice and hot. Sat at table inside. Could not help but notice outside of rubbish bin inside near where we were sitting was filthy, dust on wooden carvings and general disrepair of walls. Then looked up at ceiling fan. OMG! this dust on ceiling fan could be antique. I am sure its been there for a long time. Sorry but we wont be back. Washing floor and allowing customers to walk on it is not a good thing, especially when walking on a sloping floor space. Will try other places next time passing through...
I have been to the Rosedale bakery a couple of times now and the pies and slices are fantastic but sadly the customer service definitely ruins my trip every time.. I work at a service station in Traralgon and get asked quite often "where's good to stop for lunch around here" and I send them through to Rosedale as their food is so good but sadly due to my last trip I'm not going to send customers there anymore as I don't want them to receive the terrible service that I have gotten on every occasion.
We called in for lunch. Ordered Pumpkin Soup with a bread roll to eat in and it was served in takeaway containers and rolls in a paper bag. After stating that we were eating in - the soup was tipped into stone cold bowls and the rolls left in the paper bag.This was all done in a very surly and non-helpful manner. Needless to say the soup which had wonderful flavour was nearly cold.We didn't stay for coffee and cake as we had planned!

We stopped for breakfast and had croissant and egg and bacon muffin - they were fine. But the cakes, wow - a pity I couldn't eat these at 8am. Brandy snaps - I haven;'t seen one for so many years. And the French vanilla slice looked fantastic. I will be back to sample the cakes.
We always stop here heading to or from anywhere on the Gippsland Lakes. As usual it didn't disappoint. The pies and pastries were good as was the coffee. It was a lot busier on our second visit on the way home but we still got prompt service.
had the ned kelly pie very very tasty. always a good selection of hot and cold food available. never drive past without stopping and having a pie or sausage roll.
Good coffee, great pies and the best vanilla slice I ever tasted. Always a bit busy, but worth the wait.
