My first visit I asked for gluten free options as I have celiac. The second time, I only asked for gluten free items and was told the soup de jour and bean salad, of which I purchased both. Taking my first bite of the soup on returning home I spit it out, something wasn't right. It was the sausage-I know that the gluten free ones are more expensive and made with all meat. I called and the owner told me I should have told her I had celiac as none of the items would be gluten free. I understand how difficult keeping gluten free in a small space would be, so would've appreciated her info up front. Her defensive and dismissive response was unprofessional and irresponsible. The Caribbean Chicken salad is so tasty & filling! It tickles the taste buds, covers most of the food groups in one, healthy serving, and makes you wish you could bring the chef home for later!...and the Lemon Bar... MMM-HMMM-GOOD!!! I have been eating lunch at Rosemary and Thyme once or twice a week for several years now, as I work nearby. They serve freshly prepared food every day. Today, I tried their homemade rolls with a new recipe from the owner. The sausage was fantastic - mildly seasoned and slightly textured, reminiscent of British bangers. The rolls were thin and crispy, with a hint of sauce before baking that filled the room with the aroma of sausage. I highly recommend trying Rosemary and Thyme for lunch or dinner. They have everything from homemade soup to sandwiches to full meals.
My husband and I love our weekly tradition of having dinner at this restaurant closed by rosemary. We are never disappointed! The food is fantastic and the staff is delightful. We are so happy we found this place, as we have only found similar quality in Belleville. We will continue to support this business, and I highly recommend it to anyone who has not yet tried it. We have been coming here for a couple of years now and have never been disappointed. Have tried restaurants all around town and nothing comes close to a homemade meal like Rosemary &Thyme. We are always greeted with a smiling face whenever we come in!!!
If you would like a delicious home-cooked meal, look no further than Rosemary and Thyme. The people are friendly and accommodating. The food is superb! Get there before 5:30 if you want an evening meal though, they sell out quickly!
The meal was absolutely delicious, and the dessert was even better! Everything was homemade and freshly made. The service was warm and friendly. I will definitely be returning.
The food is always good and fresh and the people that work here a super nice. Some items are a bit pricy for what you get but the food never disappoints.
