I stopped going to Rose's some years ago but a week ago I had a plate from their food truck. The food was so amazing I went back to Rose's Caribbean restaurant today and was sadly disappointed. The Mac Cheese doesn't even look or taste the same as the mac cheese I had from the food truck, the jerk rice is not the same as I had from the food truck and the ox tails were burnt or just dried out in spots im not sure. So I will still eat from Rose's Caribbean but ONLY from the FOOD TRUCK.
I expected good food because of the rating and reviews. However, it was WAY BETTER than I even expected. I ordered the combo Jerk and Currie bone-in chicken with fried rice, Mac and cheese, and green beans. It was so good I was embarrassed how fast I ate it in a public setting.
The jerk is smoked to perfection. The oxtail falls off the bone. The sides are awesome and so is the dessert. The staff is awesome. They are a real blessing. Peaceful atmosphere, cant say enough good about this place. HalleluYAH, my new favorite place to eat in Columbus Ga.
If I go back to Benning/ Columbus, this is gonna be the first place I go to eat. Bold flavor food and sweet people that work there. Thank y'all for the great food that I have been bragging about to folks in Texas and California. And some cool pictures were in there haha Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
First experience here and ordered the oxtails with collards, cabbage, and coconut rice with red beans. Everything was bland with absolutely no flavour. I didn’t get “Caribbean” vibes at all from the food. The portion sizes were good, but over all the food was not good.
The food was mostly ok.. for one it was half luke warm and half hot.. the chicken wasn't quality pedigree.. Explaining further; if I didn't experience the best chicken in a multiplicity of other Jamaican households establishments.. this chicken would be the great..
The food is amazing, I never been disappointed. A couple of items are a little pricey personally, but the plates are always very filling. There is also usually a bit of a wait time but the friendly service and delicious food is worth the wait.
My first time and everthing was good to the last bite. Definitely going again. Wish they were still open right now. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
