I visited the Barkingside store on Wednesday afternoon. It was not a particularly hot day therefore there should not have been a shortage of any ice cream. We waited patiently in a queue with just three people in front of us to be served by a very slow serving assistant. It took her 20 mins to serve these three people who were actually in one group together. When we finally reached the front of the queue we were greeted with the fact that there was no Rossis vanilla ice cream in store at all. At this point we left with no ice cream . How can an ice cream parlour renowned for its vanilla ice cream not have any in stock to sell !!! The management should have at the very least put up a sign sa...
I recently revisited this restaurant after a few years. The ice cream was delicious, but I was disappointed to find that some flavors were missing, such as Blue Cloud and Tutti Frutti (the tray was empty), as well as waffle cones with chocolate or nut coatings. The online advertising had suggested that all of these options were available, but the person serving the ice cream informed me that some of the missing flavors would no longer be offered. I hope that the new local owner, who purchased the business from David Rossi, will continue to uphold the previous high standards and variety of selections. Only time will tell.
I have been a patron of Rossis since I was a child, visiting its different locations in and around Barkingside High Street. I have fond memories of their van selling lemon ices outside my junior school for a small price in the past. I am disappointed that they no longer offer frozen yoghurt and have discontinued some of my favorite flavors like pistachio and ginger. I also wish they had salted caramel as it is a popular flavor now. Despite these changes, their simple vanilla flavor is always a crowd pleaser and hard to beat.
We went there today an unplanned but delightful visit. Amazing variety of ice creams and cones. Exceptionally generous portions. We had the pistachio and almond flavour this time will definitely be going back to try the others. I also think it’s amazing that they sell the ice creams in tubs ready to take home. they have come to this rossi for over 40 years, from where on high road and as it moves into the current location. best ice in the city. will really miss this place and although I hear that it is in quidsaver above the road, it will never be the same. old school eissalon made to the same secret recipe. great service, beautiful people!
Been there recently. I took pistachio-almond ice cream and my daughter chocolate in chocolate cone. Price was good and ice cream was very tasty. Clean place. Will definitely buy for there again.
Place is clean, Tidy spacious. Ice cream looks delicious, tempting awesome. Milkshakes also fine. Visit once you like this place
