I had a delightful lunch experience. The samosas were delicious, and the lentil soup was quite good as well. The naans were enjoyable, but the veggie biryani was just okay. I requested a spicier version, but it didn't quite have the kick I was hoping for. The restaurant's ambiance and decor were really nice, and I believe the owner was our server, who was fantastic! However, I do think the prices for the meals might be a bit high considering the portion sizes.
Absolutely delicious! We visited on a Saturday and tried the chicken samosas and coconut lamb curry. While the samosas were tasty, the curry stole the show. The portions were on the smaller side; I would have appreciated a bit more rice, which was also a bit dry. It seems there are no longer any lunch specials available (someone mentioned they used to be like bento boxes and included dessert), but overall, the pricing was reasonable.
We had an outstanding lunch at Royal Aroma! After visiting numerous Indian restaurants over the years, we can confidently say that the food here is the best we’ve ever tasted. Our dishes were expertly prepared, and the curries boasted subtle yet complex layers of flavor and texture. Everything was served hot, the tableware was lovely, and the service was both courteous and attentive. We highly recommend this place!
Everything about the food was amazing, but I’m giving it 4 stars because I ordered mango pistachio kulfi to go, and when I later opened it, it tasted like mango mixed with some butter. I also didn’t expect it to be just a regular chunk of something, and I would have appreciated having a fork or something to eat it with. That definitely put a damper on my mood. We were excited to visit this charming restaurant after hearing a positive recommendation. The food was exquisite, and the server, who is also the owner, was incredibly friendly and efficient. Since we live on one of the Gulf Islands and often take the ferry to Sidney, we enjoyed our meal so much that we plan to make Royal Aroma a regular destination.
This is our favorite Indian restaurant. The food is consistently delicious, and the atmosphere is wonderful. It's so convenient to have a local Indian restaurant without needing to drive all the way into town. We've sampled various dishes, and each one has exceeded the last! They also offer plenty of vegetarian options!
On my official trip to Sidney I came across this restaurant. It was indeed a pleasant surprise, the owner and server were super nice and welcoming. I had Chicken Thali, it was amazingly delicious. The service was prompt and server Arsh regularly checked our table.
