It seems that some people are mixing this place up with the ROYAL DONUT CAFE on Broadway. There are actually two donut shops/cafes in Burlingame with similar names. This location is right next to the Burlingame train station and Burlingame High School. They appear to have new management and have revamped the menu, the interior, and even the staff. Recently, they've added breakfast and lunch sandwiches to the menu. However, the donuts still have that golden taste that I adore. Overall, the service is excellent.
I love thier vietnamese sandwiches. Growing up in San Jose I've been spoiled when it comes to vietnamese sandwiches. Coming to Burlingame it's been very difficult to find a place that could meet my expectations but until I found this place. Also the price is the cheapest I've been able to find a vietnamese sandwich in this area.
I had a raised glazed donut here one Sunday morning while in town visiting my sister, and I am still craving it 5 years later. It was the fluffiest, tallest glazed donut I ever had, and just ever so lightly glazed. More donut less glaze heaven. I shall be back some day.
They've refreshed their menu! There are plenty of options available. We visit this place frequently. Just a heads up, it's located next to the railroad, so be sure to enter "The Original Royal Donut" in your GPS instead of just "Royal Donut."

I visited the place around 1 AM and noticed some odd characters inside. The staff member even followed me to my car, which was a bit unsettling. However, I have to say the donuts were enormous and absolutely delicious! Thank you very much!
I have now waited twice until the French Donuts were freshly made. What I'm about to say is not hyperbole: it was a religious experience. Eating those fresh gooey Donuts haunted my dreams. I will return with fellow donut fanatics.
The cronuts and cronut holes were absolutely delicious! The raised and filled donuts, along with their donut holes, were also quite impressive, but the cronuts truly stole the show.
The donuts were fantastic! Although they didn't have the one I wanted, they generously offered us several extra donuts as compensation.

Love to take the grandkids here. We all love the fresh donuts they make daily. Arrive early to get your favorite. They sell fast here!
Unassuming spot with XL fluffy donuts. Can't go wrong with a glazed donut! Open 24 hrs is a big plus.
