Royal Oak - Tisch resevieren

We were in Newport over Christmas and went in The Royal Oak a few times. On Christmas Day we were given a free drink for our first round even though we're not locals. The pub is well laid out with a super fish tank. The beer is good and there always seems a lively, though not too noisy, throng of customers. The Royal Oaks menu specializes in curry, although there are also many other dishes available. The curry is authentically made, the menu even carries a warning that they use proper spices. The food was excellent, plenty of it a value for money. Such a good meal. Arrived mid afternoon when there were few people in the pub. Freshly cooked substantial meal. Would recommend Parking: Park in Long Street car park. As you past the Royal Oak on your left, take next left past lights and left again.
