If you've never tried Royce chocolates , you are missing out! The first time I've tried these premium chocolates were from a gift from a family member who went to Japan on vacation. The little boutique in the mitsuwa supermarket is no-nonsense! The store is closed off except for the front section guarded by 3 employees! They give you a catalog to choose what you want. Once you pay, they go to the back to retrieve your treat. The chocolates are refrigerated and premium wrapped in those cooler aluminum packaging. I only tried two small thin thickness madacas with black coffee after full Korean lunch. I was full and need little end touching toward the end meal. It’s just what I liked. I am still drinking the warm black coffee adding hot water afterwards. Keeping left over in my refrigerator to try out sometime soon Little by little. Bad service and bad attitude from the 6 feet tall male store salesman in this noble chocolate store. Please learn the manners from the Japanese of how to serve customers. Royce, please send this salesman to training before letting him serve in the store. Or else, you will lose lots of customers. A piece of chocolate can be priced at $1. And Royce priced a hundred times more. Why? Because Royce is selling taste of the chocolate and the service from the salesman. This is the same concept as of when you walk into the Hermes, Louis Vuitton and Chanel stores. That's how Royce chocolate differentiate from the $1 chocolate.
Elegant little chocolate shop in Mitsuwa. I really love the milk chocolate bars and the champagne chocolate set. Very pricey but every once in a while, you need to treat yourself. If you are giving as a gift, they will wrap the box in pretty pink packaging. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Always clean and tidy. You can find soft and delicate chocolate variety here! Love the matcha chocolates and chips. Itiana was lovely and very helpful! She offered packaging for our gift and we are excited for our friends to receive them.
I was pleasantly surprised to find Royce chocolate close to where I was staying in New Jersey. I received it as a gift, complete with beautiful wrapping. The staff was fantastic as well!
Japanese chocolate has a unique flavor that you either enjoy or don't. Generally, there are other chocolate options that offer better value for the price you pay.
