The restaurant was bustling, with a duo performing live music, but we were told there would be a short wait of about 20 minutes. This time allowed us to observe the dishes being served, each one looking more delicious than the last. The staff were incredibly friendly and worked hard to find us a table, and after a brief wait, we were seated. There were two of us dining, and our server Jackie was absolutely fantastic—friendly and professional. She was knowledgeable about the menu and eager to make our experience pleasant. I ordered the Thai mussels, which were flavorful, though they could have used a bit more heat; however, dried chili flakes are available if you prefer some extra spice. The chocolate mousse was delicious, but it resembled more of a cake filling with cream rather than a traditional mousse. Still enjoyable, just don’t expect a classic mousse texture. Overall, it was simple pub food done well. We’ll definitely be back!
Great pub, plenty of options to sit inside or out. Varied menu and good selection of nice beers and wine. Friendly staff but very busy, so wait for food and drinks was a little longer than desired. Live music from a local duo was awesome, really added to a great pub atmosphere and didn't over power us with too loud music. Food quality and quantity was above what I expected. Might not be in the prettiest location or have a Seaview, but a cut above most pubs I've been too in BC. Keep it up. Cheers
I stopped by late Friday night on my way back from the island, hoping for something delicious. I ordered the steak and shrimp, which came with mashed potatoes and veggies. I’m definitely planning to return with some friends! The food was amazing, and the band was quite good as well. It reminded me of the good old days of enjoying a night out at the pub. My daughter and I dined there for the first time last Saturday night, and there was a live band playing, which was fantastic. The music and atmosphere were enjoyable. However, it took over an hour for our food to arrive, and it was only mediocre at best. While the service and ambiance were excellent, waiting an hour for food that wasn't anything special is simply too long.
The restaurant was completely full, yet the staff managed to provide friendly and efficient service. The food was wonderful, including the fish tacos, quesadillas, and some chef's prawns. The atmosphere was great, making it a charming little pub. I brought my family from out of town, and the team really showcased what the valley has to offer.
Went there on a Sunday night. Live music with a rotating cast was a lot of fun. The food was delicious, they offer a lot of gluten free and allergy friendly options and staff are knowledgeable about the menu. Prices are as expected from an island pub,but happy hour offers a lot of good appetizer and drink options at st very nice discount.
We happened by this local pub on a Sunday morning and we’re absolutely delighted. Their brunch did not disappoint and their fish and chips was exactly what we were looking for. On top and amazing food and some of the friendliness service on the island they had live music that fit the atmosphere. Would defiantly recommend Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
If you're in the Royston area, I highly recommend visiting Roy's Town Pub. The food was outstanding, complemented by fantastic service and a wonderful atmosphere. The vegetarian pizza was particularly amazing!
