Habe einen Tagesausflug nach Schaffhausen gemacht; Wir hatten vor, in einem anderen Restaurant zu essen, das uns von Freunden wärmstens empfohlen worden war. Aber als ich um 14 Uhr ankam, gab es dort kein Mittagessen mehr. Also ... ich habe schnell auf TripAdvisor nach einem Vorschlag gesucht. Die Brauerei Falken war in der Nähe... und hatte gute Kritiken, also machten wir uns auf den Weg. Wir hatten Fondue und Getränke. Das Fondue war großartig, aber mit 24 Euro pro Person überteuert. Seien Sie also gewarnt. Das Restaurant bot einen rauchgefüllten Raum im Barraum im Erdgeschoss oder einen Nichtraucherbereich im Obergeschoss in einem schickeren Ambiente an. It is in the middle of the Old City (Altstadt) of Schaffhausen, so it is a good opportunity to have good food as a lunch break during your visit or shopping in the old city area. Prices are normal compared to Switzerland but around 30 to 40% more expensive compared to Germany. Staff are friendly and so helpful. This restaurant presents different dishes like pasta (with many different sauses,) steaks, Wiener steaks, ... and some special kids dishes like Frites. You can sit outside if the weather is good and also inside if you like.
Convenient location. Smokers are allowed downstairs, but upstairs is non-smoking. Food is of good quality - typical to swiss restaurants (Schnitzel, fried fish, a pasta dish, salad plate, etc.) Service has never impressed me (I'm American) on the several occasions I've been there, but it is ok as far as Swiss service is concerned. Prices mid-range Swiss.
eating is so good; i.e., good bourgeois. we had a lunch menu. instead of suppe we took salat; this was fresh, but the sauce was some finished product. the main course was o.k. a bit of a decent ambiente with still allowed smoking in the restaurant (smoking-free lounge restaurant on the top floor!.) good floccen beer and simple but good-bourgeois, rich meal times. in summer small attractive hospitality on the gasse.
This restaurant is located in the pedestrian section. We sat outside which was great for people watching. The beer was pretty good and so was the food. You can sit inside downstairs to smoke or in a separate section upstairs for non-smokers.
Eine sehr schöne Atmosphäre, kombiniert mit RIESIGEN Portionen Essen. Ich habe mich für die lokalen Spezialitäten entschieden und es nie bereut. Das war einfach köstlich. Wenn Sie ein Glas (oder zwei…) Wein hinzufügen… ;)
