This location always and I mean al ate disappoints. I went in last night and ordered three items. The bowl had rock hard rice and the chicken nachos hardly had any topping but an abundance of salt. The whole order was a total waste of my hard earned money. I'm sick of gambling here and always losing . Ill have to take my chances and drive to Downey or los alamitos because I know Rubio's makes good food. This location just doesn't meet the expectations I have that are met with other locations. Not sure if this time it was becaus it was 7 pm or what but it's always something.
I ordered the California bowl. I usually enjoy however this time around the rice was old and because it was old rice I was chewing on some pieces of rice that where really hard. Think of rice that has been sitting outside for a day and dried up and got hard. Maybe next time it will hopefully be better.
So the food's ok I got the classic shrimp burrito it had some weird crunchy stuff inside of it which I don't think should have been there! The beans had no flavor the service was fine and it's a bit pricey for two adults and a kid your spending about 40 bucks! So I would say it's mediocre at best!
Great for taco Tuesday specials. Order and you get a number for your table, salsa bar with great optiones, self serve fountain drinks and iced tea available. Do recomend this place for a quick casual bite.

I used to really enjoy the food here. However, during my last visit, the quality wasn't as good as it used to be. I can't help but wonder if there have been changes in the kitchen staff.
The food is good but the service really sucks. I order three dishes and only one at a time came out. Too much talking between the cook(s) and cashier. Slow as molasses!
Ok, Tuesday's the fish tacos are 2.29 instead of 5.29 and they're truly the best tacos we've ever had. If my family wasn't so large, we'd go other nights of the week.
Great food. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff who always have my order correct and ready when I arrive to pick up my online order.

I asked for fish taco especial with none of the sauces. The cooks put it in there. The receipt mentioned no sauces.
It's good, but it feels like something is lacking compared to authentic Mexican cuisine.
