Rubiras at Swallows

9 of us went to lunch including three hungry childrenthe overall feeling from the others was it was great as for myself I have to say the waitress who served me (don't know her name ) was really jovial and helpful, nothing was a problemwe had beers and wines all were and all were cold and we never had to wait for servicethe oysters I had were a treat big and juicy to die for I had the whiting battered and there was plenty of it and well cooked and presented I have to say all food was well presented and everyone said it was greatbetter than your average pub!!we will returnrod

It came highly recommended so in turn a lot to live up too, they didn't disappoint, if anything, they exceeded my already raised expectations. I chose to have two entrees starting with the Barramundi Spring Rolls followed by Chili Tiger Prawns, if I wanted they were more than happy to amend the portion sizes so I could try a wider range, I expect to be back many more times and will in turn try other items on the menu. The table service was second to none, only improving on the overall dinning experience. Well done Rubiras

My partner loves seafood so I decided to take him on a date night and while doing some research found Rubiras which had received some great reviews and we were not disappointed. My partner started with Oysters and said they were very fresh. We then shared some Garlic Tiger Prawns and Calamari both of which were great. For mains my partner had the Moreton Bay Bugs with Chilli sauce and he loved them, I had the Milk Fed Baby Veal which was nice. The servings were very generous and the waiter was great.

Great dining, superb seafood and friendly casual service. Extensive menu however asking for share platters worked very well. Terrific barramundi spring rolls and chilli prawns were exceptional for entre. Following this a platter of Cajun barramundi and crumbed boarfish accompanied by fries and a salad topped off a delightful nights dining. Had a sensational seafood supper to celebrate my birthday. We chose our meal to be tapas style however, the restaurant also caters for a la carte dining. We enjoyed oysters natural, steamed and with champagne followed by spicy king prawns, lobster, scallops, prawn dumplings and King George whiting fillets. Washed down with Champagne and Riesling. A very tasty, elegant meal with helpful, attentive service.

Visited this restaurant down towards The Port, easy just took the took the tram there, very surprised at how good this place was had read a few reviews ...Great service, waitress was very helpful, food was great, looked as if the locasl like it too ,advised that that it was family owned , and had been in Melbourne a long time , could say a tradition to stay in and around in Melbourne .

Met some friends for lunch at Rubira's on a cold Melbourne winters day.Were immediately warmed up by the friendly staff greeting and the very cosy fire. Apart from a little stuff up in our orders the food and service was great. All four of us enjoyed the meals. Recommend.

Cosy little pub on the corner very close to the tram line All the food was superb. Seafood was perfectly cooked
