Last day visiting New Orleans, we decided to grab breakfast at a highly recommended breakfast/ brunch restaurant. Most said this place is all around good. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by that southern New Orleans charm. The staff were warm and polite and didn't mind going over the menu with us. We got a little bit of everything. We had no real complaints at all. Solid southern comfort food, each entree could stand on its own in flavor and execution. My biscuits and gravy was hardy and savory, dense but not hard. We have dined at multiple Ruby Slippers locations, and this Metairie location is our favorite! We didn't have to wait long for a table with outdoor seating. Our server, Christy, informed us about the specials and gave us some excellent recommendations. We decided to try a variety of dishes. For starters, we enjoyed the loaded tots with added bacon, which were delicious. I ordered the homemade biscuits and gravy, which were full of flavor with generous portions of ground sausage and crispy bacon. Great spot for a recovery meal. Nothing like a breakfast margarita and a warm biscuit to help with the hangover I was struggling with. Food and beverage menu has about everything you could possibly want for breakfast/brunch. I had the avocado toast; it was light, delicious savory but very different. My husband had the breakfast tacos but the eggs were over cooked and had that burnt/stuck to the skillet taste.….the side potatoes were prepared like we like ‘em, crispy and salty! Always delicious food at Ruby Slipper. We just had breakfast there and was surprised by how busy it was for a late breakfast. Service is first rate, too. Melanie D took good care of us. I had the Sweet Heat Chicken and French Toast Bites. Delicious, but I couldn't eat it all. (at least not all in one sitting. My wife got the Blueberry Lemon Stuffed French Toast, Gluten Free. This restaurant never disappoints! We always bring our family that visits out of state to this delicious brunch spot? Melanie, our server, was awesome today! She was kind, friendly, curteous, and professional. I always love the customer service here! I have never encountered a problem. Will definitely come back in a couple of weeks?

My 1st NOLA brunch experience was terrific Ruby slipper. Ordered the trifecta, grilled fish st. Peter and Cinnamon swirl pancakes and they were all grand slam. My server, David also delivered amazing service and vibes. Simply fantastic BF dining experience over all.

I have never been let down by this restaurant. The food is fantastic. I ordered the Chicken Saint Charles Bennie and the one tomato, two tomato Bennie. The fried chicken was light and crispy, and the eggs were perfectly poached. The Mimosa flight was my favorite!

I don’t understand why this place is always packed. Absolutely mediocre food Price like you’re at the Ritz Carlton. We will never go back.
