I went to Rumba Cubana Guttengerg yesterday for my mom's birthday. Our waiter was very accomodating, friendly and professional. We had an assortment of diahes. All good. My thing is the place was packed and hectic with students graduation and their families arriving in masses. You could see the place gradually getting more and more crowdy amd yet the staff kept pushing food out amd taking orders. We went there to celebrate my birthday. We requested a table outside and the receptionists told us that the waiting time for that was about 45 minutes. We agreed on waiting. When they texted us they had a table inside for us. As soon as my husband said that we had requested to be outside the lady didn’t even apologized for the mistake. She was rude and said very impolitely that we had to wait longer if we didn’t want to seat inside. We were already hungry and had waited some time so we decided to seat inside. The restaurant provides a lively atmosphere and offers reasonably priced, delicious Cuban cuisine. While there is room for improvement with the servers, the overall level of service was attentive. The restaurant offers a partial view of NYC and has balcony seating. We particularly enjoyed the empanadas, with the picadillo being our standout favorite, although the pollo was dry. The chicharroncitos de puerco were satisfactory, however, we also found some bits of it rather dry. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the bistec de palomilla, which was exceptionally tender and flavorful. Additionally, we found the Cuban sandwich to be delightful, and the fries were executed well.
Was there over Father’s Day weekend, the manager has a terrible attitude. He walks around in the same gray suit treating people like he doesn’t need their business. Plus I had a reservation and when I got there they tried to cancel it just because they were busy. The food disgusting we found a cockroach on one of the appetizers, they took it off our bill but seriously?! A roach in our food they should be closed down. Will not return here and I will share my experience with anyone I know. Gross place.

Authentic cuban food at affordable prices. The service is impeccable and they have a lounge in the top floor if you want to get a drink and dance. Recommended
