Ordered Chicken Korma and Vegetarian dinner for 2. Chicken korma was incredibly sweet (desert sweet) with little flavour and it was really quite hard to differentiate between the vegetarian dishes. The Veggie biriyani was flavoured rice with frozen veg, potatoes and onions. None of it was anything special, lacking in flavour but not offensive. Only cash and they told us that it was going to take another 45 mins after we'd paid- needless to say it took longer than that. Won't be going back.
Its honestly with regret that I have to say this was handsdown the worst 'indian ' meal I 've ever eaten. Every dish was 30% oil, and while the menu says 'heavily spiced ' there was virtually no flavour... at all. The garlic nan didn 't even smell like it was ever in a room with garlic, the garlic mushrooms the same.... and they clearly came out of a can and just tasted waterlogged and vile. If you 've ever had great Indian, save yourself and get a chinese from down the road.
Ordered takeaway at 5.30. 5 dishes and 5 rices, was told it would be ready at 6.45. Arrived at 6.45 to find people who were told to pick up at 6.15 still waiting for food. Finally got our order at 7.30, 2 hours after ordering. However, the curry was delicious and can’t fault it, big portions. It was very expensive for what we ordered and there was no apologies for the wait time.
Dont know what people find to dislike about this place couldnt get in to local pub for a meal so hubby went out to get a take away ..we were staying in carlton in coverdale so it was a good 15 mins drive but it was hot and tasty We love indian food and go to some really good resturaunts but it wasnt bad at all weve deffo had worse and the price was good too Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Ordered set meal for two last night. Thought we would give it another go as wasn’t great last time. So glad we did excellent take away and very tasty . A lot of mixed reviews on here and people will make their own judgements
Shared a butter chicken with naan and rice. Super good curry. The (presumably) owner was so lovely and gave us free popadoms which was very kind! Quick service as well would definitely go here again!
Came here with the family and the service was amazing. Very friendly owner and caters to needs. Food was really good and lived up to expectation. Will be back here again with the family!
Called to pick up a Take Away had to wait a hour so had a drink at the pub opposite the Take away... well worth the wait food hot and really tasty Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Absolute scruff drops food on floor and puts it back in pans. Don't eat from here owner is also a liar.
