We tried several apps and shared side dishes. The appetizers we enjoyed the most were the Pork Belly and the dates. The squash blossoms were just ok. Salads were enjoyed by a few and were good. I had the braised short rib which was very tender and moist. The chicken, well, was chicken and not a lot of flavor. The burger also was a bit unsatisfying due to lack flavor and adding the Foie did nothing for it. Of course, being a avid BYOBer, the wine left a lot to be desired. While the pricing was reasonable, the choices were limited and age was not an option. The wines I typically enjoy would be cost prohibitive at a restaurant and I prefer my big reds 10 to 15 years of age. Obviously not going...
This was our first visit and we were fortunate enough to be seated near the kitchen where we could watch chef Michael put the finishing touches on every single dish. Our server was attentive and made great recommendations. The chef personally welcomed us and even prepared a complimentary starter for us. All the dishes were delicious. Must say the scallops were a favorite. So good we even opted for dessert! And to top it all off, today the restaurant called to thank us for dining with them! Who even does that??? Exceptional and we will return!
Tried the kitchen burger tonight and wasn’t disappointed. Service and ambience were great! Our favorite neighborhood place for any occasion.
The food was superb. The tasting menu was an uncommon value. The waiter was excellent, knowledgeable and entertaining.
