During my visit to Long Island, a friend recommended Rustic Root as a must-visit dining spot for dinner. The ambiance was very nice, with a contemporary wooden rustic dining room. The Braised Short Rib was melt-in-your-mouth tender, served over a bed of mashed potatoes - pure comfort food. I rated it 5 out of 5. The Grilled Octopus was crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside, earning a 4 out of 5. Even though I am lactose intolerant, I couldn't resist trying the Ice Cream Sampler, which also got a 4 out of 5. In summary, this restaurant is the real deal for locally sourced fresh food.

The fried zucchini was too greasy for my taste, but the avocado ranch dipping sauce was really delicious. The French onion soup had a unique twist with two large breadsticks topped with melted cheese in a savory broth, and it was pretty good. The chicken burger was overly greasy and seemed fatty, while the regular cheeseburger and fries were just average. The desserts were the highlight of the meal, with the cheesecake, bread pudding, and sweet potato banana cobbler all being incredibly delicious and worth a visit just for them. The waitress was pleasant as well.
This restaurant has fantastic food, excellent service, and a great atmosphere. The menu had so many enticing options that I couldn't resist ordering two dishes - the beet salad and the butternut burrata toast. Both were absolutely delicious and I savored every bite. The service was top-notch and very pleasant. I will definitely be returning to try more dishes from the menu. Overall, I give this restaurant a perfect score in all categories. The service and food was so good. I really enjoy this restaurant. My only complaint has to do with the reservation and seating process. I had a reservation for 830pm and still had to wait 40 min to be sat. There was an apology from the hostess, but never the manager. I'm not one to make a fuss, but facts are facts. I would give both the food and service a rating of 5 out of 5. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also top-notch, receiving a 5 out of 5 as well. I highly recommend trying the Roasted Beets and Beet Salad, as they were both delicious.

This restaurant has a charming atmosphere and lovely decor. The cocktails were delicious. I ordered the chicken burger and really liked it. The coffee crumb cake pudding was outstanding. I would definitely return to this restaurant.
