My partner and I visited for brunch this morning. While the food was overall excellent, there were a few things that are keeping it from a 5 star rating from us. Items ordered: Brioche French toast, Breakfast in Jersey, popover Pros: The quality of the food was phenomenal. Fresh and hot. The French toast was flavorful and sweet, almost perfect. The breakfast sandwich was flavorful and the portion size was good. I can confidently say the homefries were the best I've ever had, and I've had a ton of homefries over the years across New England Waitstaff is very friendly, hard working, and accomodating Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food; much less than I've paid at far worse place...

After I described the food as 'meh ', the owner insulted me by suggesting I should stick to McDonald 's. The truth is, neither meal had any flavor; both were bland, overcooked, and overpriced. Even the Bloody Mary lacked flavor, and I had to add hot sauce to make it palatable. The service was extremely slow and inefficient, likely due to poor management. Wow! Everything we got was top notch. I ordered the Chicken Confit Salad, and it was some of the best chicken I’ve ever eaten! My wife ordered the pastrami, and she said that this is what pastrami should taste like. My daughters ordered waffles and crepes, which were also delicious! Great atmosphere, friendly service. I would go back in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

We are visiting Shelburne and were excited to try Rustic Roots for lunch. Imagine our disappointment when we arrived at 1:20 (it closes at 2pm) and were turned away! Having retired from the restaurant business after 40 years, I would never have treated my customers this way!
