Place has changed a bit. I use to rate it 5 stars for the steak . I'm a steak man, I come specifically for steak.Kids meals are beautiful, no complaints. No constructive criticism about other meals.Had to return 2 meals tonight, but not the first time I raised this issue with the kitchen. Asked for medium rare rib eye got medium , which I'd be fine with, but also asked for medium porterhouse, got well done. Not acceptable when paying $40+.Probably not a good idea to finish steaks in an oven. They require a pan or grill and observation by the chefs. A friend and I met here for lunch. Last week. I loved the low lighting that made the restaurant cosy and welcoming. The waitress was friendly and attentive. She knew the menu and answered any questions we had. I ordered a gluten free risstto which was delicious. My friend ordered a burger and she said it was very tasty. I had a gluten free carrot cake with cream a little dry but I ate it all. Friend had tiramisu which she enjoyed. We sat talking for about 3 hours. Our food was served in good time. I recently held my husband's 50th Birthday party at Rustique on Saturday night, with a total of 40 guests. The food was excellent and I couldn't find a fault with it. The menu had a great selection and the presentation of the dishes was impeccable. Our waiter, Cameron, provided exceptional service and was very professional. The manager, Anita, was also wonderful and made sure everything was to my satisfaction. This was the second event I've hosted at Rustique and I highly recommend it for any function, as well as for casual lunch or dinner. WOW!!! I have no idea what the bad reviews are about but my son and I just had a fantastic experience! The kids menu also doubles as colouring paper and they supply pencils! There’s a playground and the kids menu is pretty large $18-19 avg) I was unaware my pasta had cheese on it after reading the menu, and without hesitation the lovely girl working offered to get a new one made as I’m lactose intolerant. We recently had our company's Christmas Function at Rustique and were incredibly impressed by the exceptional service provided by the staff. Anita stood out with her prompt service, warm demeanor, and professionalism. She, along with waiters Cameron and Jacqulin, took excellent care of our group of 40+ guests. We celebrated last Christmas Eve there with around 30 family members. We all had a phenomenal time. Karen and the staff were outstanding and could not help us enough. The menu was organized ahead of the event, which made the night run even smoother. The quality of food was outstanding and got rave reviews from all the guests. We would strongly recommend considering Rustique for a special family event or for just simply a meal and a good night out.
We had a function here after hearing the many amazing reviews about the staff and food! Well it did not disappoint! Fantastic food matched equally by the amazing Karen and her staff. It was such a great day and all guests were so impressed by the food and service!
