This is one of my favourite pubs. It is friendly, has lovely ales, excellent meals at fantastic prices, and a big free car park. The road outside is barely wide enough for 2 cars to pass, the road is a toll road, currently one end of the road is closed off, there is a sewage works virtually next door, and the service in the pub is quite slow. But I've been returning to this pub time and time again, and not been disappointed; whatever else it lacks, the friendliness, food quality, and in particular the food prices, make it all worth while.
Lovely pub, been going here for years. Nice staff, fair service, and delicious, good quality, and quite reasonably-priced food. Disappointing that the last twice I've been here they have run out of some menu items quite early on. I suggest before you decide what you want to eat, first ask what is available. Also, order your dessert at the same time as your mains, or when you go back to order it you might find that they have run out of what you'd like.
This charming pub located on the canal has a lot of character and a warm, friendly staff. The food is top-notch in both quality and price, and they offer a wide variety of beers. We plan on returning in the summer to enjoy their beautiful beer garden to its fullest.
What a star setting. Next to the river, a lovely old building which manages the subtle combination of history with modern touches with the outside TV. Great food, cooked and served quickly and in a fab location. We will back! Thanks, Andy.
Great lunchtime menu at a brilliant price . Food excellent, service excellent, couldn't fault it . Highly recommend the hunters chicken, it is to die for. Warm and friendly atmosphere, staff kind and attentive. Cannot wait to go back .
Great pub! It has a true pub atmosphere with good food, a great selection of beers (not just the trendy expensive ones), and even some football on TV. The staff are happy and friendly, making me want to come back for sure.
I had an amazing experience at this pub. The staff, especially Sharna, were excellent and very attentive. The atmosphere was wonderful and the food was delicious. The setting was also very nice.
Beautiful setting by the river with a well cared for garden. Busy but service is always good and the prices are the best around. Great for the kids, dog friendly and always got some sport on.
Lovely pub, felt very relaxed, lovely view of the river and boats.. we had roast beef dinner and it was lovely and you even get extra gravy in a little gravy boat Our favourite new place
