As we’d journeyed up El Toro to visit the monastery we decided to have a bit of lunch in the cafe. The views are lovely from the veranda but we chose to eat inside due to the heat. Luckily my Spanish is ok, otherwise translation would be difficult when ordering. The drinks arrived promptly and we ordered from the menu. I ordered a tomato and Mahon cheese salad (this is a plate of sliced tomato intertwined with cheese; that’s it). The people having burgers thought they were nice but the plain cheese sandwich wasn’t to the diners liking due to a random tomato salsa smeared on the bottom of the bread. Price was a bit more than it was worth but given the location we accepted that before ordering...
