Sabores e Encantos de Azeitao

Prior to our tasting at the manor house of José Maria da Fonseca across the street, we ducked into the shade of the old lavadouros in the heart of Vila Nogueira de Azeitāo. We ordered a composed plate of local cheeses and hams, which we accompanied by a confiture apparently made from vinsanto and grapes--absolutely delicious! The breads and salada de atum we ordered to go with them were also well made and refreshing. The host poured us a couple of glasses each of a local Chardonnay from the VR, which mated perfectly with the hot day. For less than €40, we came away satisfied. We went there on a very busy day, since it was a public holiday and all restaurants were super crowded. This probably explains the slow service. This was the only downside, as the local nibbles (Queijo de Azeitão, Paio, Morcela and Jam) were delicious and...freshly made to order. The staff was very friendly, despite being quite busy. It's important to mention the place is very cozy with a gorgeous water tank (repurposed old washing tank) and beautiful light (with much needed shades). We will definitely return to try different nibbles and check whether the service is actually slow or if it was just a temporary issue.

Na quantidade de oferta que há na zona, este espaço destaca-se pela beleza e tranquilidade.As tostas e os bolos são deliciosos! Assim como os moscateis que se apresentam em grande variedade. Têm tábuas variadas e chouriço assado! Podiam ter mais oferta de petiscos...Penso que deveriam repensar o tipo de mobiliário que têm - há mesas em forma de barril com bancos a condizer, misturados com mesas de metal e ainda pior de plástico. O espaço é muito bonito e nerecia maior cuidado.O serviço é muito simpático.

Du lavoir au centre de la grande terrasse au menu petit prix, tout est reposant dans ce restaurant. Les tartines sont bonnes et d'un rapport qualité / prix imbattable, l'accueil est chaleureux et la musique de fond nous berce. Nous avons commandé des "patates frites avec sauce" ils nous ont servis un ramequin de chips industrielles... une poignée de chips à 1€50... c'est du vol. La salade de saumon est une grosse assiette de salade avec 4 morceaux de saumon fumé qui se courent après. À éviter donc.

Nice place to have a breakfast, a snack or to drink a glass of Moscatel (sweet wine of the area). In the past it was a place where women washed the family clothes. Very well kept and clean. There is live music on Saturday nights (during the summer).

we were first attracted by the setting of the old village linen, but the charcuterie and cheese were well worth the all-round on their own faust. not that is the way around in the center of vila nogueira, next to the church.

the location is beautiful with the water of the washing plant. we thought here was a coffee and a snack before we were on a wine tasting tour. very happy that we did because it was away from the main road and was calm. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

always a beautiful place for coffee, tortas, small bites and drinks in the shade around the water bassin. the personal is very covered
