We've ordered fish and chips from Sackville Terrace several times over the past few years, and we've always been very impressed, including during our most recent visit last night. I felt it was time to share my experience in a review. The chips are absolutely fantastic, with a satisfyingly crunchy exterior and a soft, flavorful center. They are well-salted (if you ask for it) and fried in clean oil, avoiding any burnt taste often left by old oil. The fish is equally delicious, featuring a thin and crispy batter. The owners are friendly and polite, and the total cost was around $21. The only downside is that you can't resist sneaking a few chips from the wrapping before you even make it home!...
I grew up in the 1970s. at that time (and now I feel very old) there were 2 fish and chip shops in each location and the drive to get them on a Friday or Sunday was just a few minutes. the best were always led by Greek. I don't know why, but that's how it was. the times have changed and now it would be nice to find a fish supply in each location. this place is average. serving chip was good at $5 and we couldn't finish between 2 of us and one of us is 14 and swim a lot. the fish were frozen, however, the teigs were too oily and it made for heavy going. $23 for 2 hai and 5 dollar chips is well worth kalorific, but I couldn't recommend it unless they were really in a bind....read more
This particular place is just average. The portion of chips was generous at $5, and even two of us couldn’t finish them—one of us is a 14-year-old who swims a lot! However, the fish seemed to be frozen, and the batter was too greasy, making it quite heavy to eat. At $23 for two shark fillets and $5 for chips, it may seem like a decent deal in terms of calories, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you're really desperate. Fast, friendly and great value.. This is the best fish and chippie in the Scarborough area. Generous servings, friendly service, hot and fresh. Cooked old school style and really nice and fresh. Don't bother with the other fancy schmancy places like Brighton as the extra massive price hike is not worth it. Have been going to Sackville for years and always good. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
My favorite spot for Fish and Chips on Fridays! I've visited Sackville Terrace Fish Chips several times, and they offer the best value for fish and chips in the area. The portions are generous, and the quality is consistent every time. The service is excellent as well! I highly recommend trying the Snapper and Gummy shark!
It's true what they say – this place has the best tartare sauce in Perth! I absolutely love this little shop. The portions are generous, and the fish is delicious. The best part is that it's not overly greasy, so you don't feel awful afterwards. My housemates and I will definitely be returning!
I’ve updated my previous reviews since this restaurant is now under new management. I often get chips from here, and they’re decent quality. The place isn’t upscale, and I can’t comment on any other menu items since I haven’t tried them. The new management is friendly, and the chips are good.
Avoid this place! It used to be good, but now it's terrible. The fish was dry, the chips were small and greasy, and the grilled fish was so tough that we couldn't even chew it. Nice!. Best fish and chips I've had in a long time and I'm talking years! Excellent fish. Chips just right. Generous serves. Oh and try the tartare sauce! I'm on a weight gaining mission so will be coming back here again soon. For sure!
