Having booked a table well in advance and having had to choose our food a week before our visit we were expecting something special. First things first, if you ask to book the skidoo, bear in mind that they charge €14 for a return journey from Zug and also it's not actually a skidoo, more of a snow mobile.So, we arrived at the restaurant and were showed to our table...upstairs away from all other guests in a room utterly devoid of atmosphere. A 3km walk from Zug, charming treck, lovely and serene views, the place is beautifully done in its simplicity, haphazard service, some super friendly and others not so much (unlike Austria's wonderfully warm welcomes), comfortable, table sharing wood lodge chalet. Do not cater for food intolerances, if you have any do not go since this is where it can get unfriendly! Clean and immaculate, needs a sprinkle of friendliness and learn that people increasingly have food allergies.Nice place in a lovely setting that could be better.
This restaurant is hidden away at the end of the Zuger Valley. If you don't want to hike there on foot (30 minutes) they will pick you up and bring you back with their own snow taxi.It is absolutely worth your visit and the food is exquisite. We had their dear steak which was fantastic, so tender and juicy that it didn't even taste like game.The very traditional hut atmosphere is wonderful. Due to their limited space reservations are highly recommended and you can pre-order your menu which makes for a very smooth experience.
Dieses Restaurant ist ein absolutes Muss, allein schon für die Fahrt dorthin. Sie werden von Lech abgeholt und mit einem Schneetruck zurückgebracht. Die Fahrt ist besonders aufregend, besonders für Kinder. Das Essen ist in Ordnung. Sie müssen zwischen Fondue und einem anderen Menü wählen, bevor Sie ankommen. Das Personal ist freundlich und der Service ist gut. Reservieren Sie am besten im Voraus. Rufen Sie direkt an, wenn Ihr Hotel Ihnen sagt, dass es ausgebucht ist, was bei uns passiert ist.

Compared to last year this restaurant was a disappointment. Although the waitress made an effort to look after us in the nearly empty restaurant the atmosphere was dull. The first course which was a chicken croquette salad although it tasted good came in seconds and must have been pre-prepared. Our main course of grilled liver was poor. Both it and the accompanying potatoes were undercooked.
A 10min drive in the woods with a tank looking vehicle, upon arrival greeted with a warm glass of mulled wine is always a great start to your Saturday night dinner. Food and service also ticked the box. Overall a great experience - I would say a must for a ski trip in Lech.
Für den Preis, sehr schlecht. Ein kalter Kaffee und eine Teller "Knorr" Rindsuppe sind definitiv nicht das, was ich erwartet habe. Gemütlichkeit sollte durch einen schönen alten...aber kalten Ofen gebracht werden, der eigentlich zum Trocknen von Kleidung gedacht ist.
I don't understand the bad reviews. I love this place. Service is personal and excellent, quality/price ratio is much better than expected from such a place in such a location. Just make sure you're not hiking there on Mondays as it's closed.

Wir wanderten den Lechweg entlang und machten halt für eine Suppe und ein Bier auf der Terrasse: freundlicher Service und gute Suppe in einem traditionellen Ambiente. Nicht billig, aber es lohnt sich.
Visited in winter a wonderful location and good service and food. Visited to day very limited menu service a bit chaotic and food average.
