I experienced a troubling incident that felt racially motivated while seeking recommendations from friends. One of my friends, who happens to have dreadlocks, was specifically singled out by a staff member, who claimed they didn’t have enough personnel to monitor her while she was in the store. The staff member then proceeded to threaten to call the police, recounting an incident where my friend allegedly threw a drink at her, which never occurred during any of my visits. I've never encountered anything like this in any other business or restaurant in my life, and as someone who is half Asian and half white, it was truly shocking. Although I appreciate the wide selection of alcohol available...
Before the pandemic I used to go into this place every now and again. I went back and holy **** was it different. Staff were not knowledgeable. The prices are insane. Any liquor that has any rarity to it at all has a sky high markup. Many prices were not posted. Saw a bottle of Weller 107 and had to ask the price. MSRP is around $50. They wanted $200 for it. Another bottle of more normal scotch that is $100 at retail was $130. This is before Washington State Liquor Tax. There are a few liquor store like this in our area and I will never shop at any of them. They want to treat retail like the secondary market. They do have a lot of bottles, but you have to really want them to take one home.
The experience was incredibly disappointing. The prices are outrageous and not accurately reflected on the menu. The service was slow and the staff was rude. I could share more complaints, but I’ll keep it brief. The long-term manager recently left, and she was really the only positive part of the establishment. The owner needs to address these issues, or I won’t be returning.
Do NOT go here if you are a person of color. This fat guy with long curly hair and glasses is racist. If you're a group of color, they will ID the whole group and lied that it's Washington State law. But the staff member sold alcohol to two white guys that look like they are underage and did not ask them for their ID. If I can give this place a zero star I would. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Wouldn't give back my credit card after leaving it on counter. Literally had it and said come back tomorrow, just minutes after closed. Gave me a hand signaling to shoo away with my credit card in his possession. Very rude as I was simply and respectfully trying to get my card back. Weird af
Great selection of all the good stuff. Excellent customer service. I'm a Mezcal fan and this shop has the best selection of Mezcal that I have found anywhere.
This place has it all and more. Contrary to some of the reviews here, the staff were very helpful both over the phone and in person.
