The new owner doesn’t feel the need to reply to constructive criticism of their takeaway service, so hence why I’m reiterating it on here. We spent on meals, the samosas were really spicy which isn’t a big deal, that’s what raita is for!...However, what was a big problem was one of the “mild” mains were extra extra spicy, as an Indian myself I know when something says it’s mild that it shouldn’t be too spicy to eat! The other main was just not what I ordered, I always have the same dish from Indians but never had one like that. However, the manager or owner (whoever gets the reviews through their ordering system) couldn’t be bothered to follow my complaint up with anything. He just acted lik...
I was very interested to see proper Indian dishes on offer at the new Ely Spice takeaway in Broad Street... rather than the ubiquitous Bangladeshi cooking. Flavours of the Special dishes are truly different and delicious .. but the green curry in particular is almost...inedible because of the over-use of chilli. Too much salt also. Shame...as Ely needs more authentic, independent ethnic eateries.
Ordered a take away for of us on Friday night, we we not disappointed with what arrived. Quick, hot and delicious. Would most definitely recommend and use service again.
Not bad food but the take away dishes weren't even up to the half way mark. Feel a bit ripped off. It also arrived late. Will not go again.
