Visited today. Wow what an experience. Ordered a cheese and onion toastie. The lady on the till “Kelly” threw the toastie from the till to the counter behind her for her colleague to cook. I have never in my life seen such a thing! Who behaves in such a way? Clearly no respect and in front of customers! I was speechless. My toastie arrived . Uncooked and Soggy. I took it back to the till area and was told someone else had brought back their toastie because it wasn’t cooked. Really? Turn your toastie machine up then! Only gave 2stars as would’ve of given any except for lady taking orders and making the drinks. There was no cutlery and had to wait a while after food arrived and had to ask a few times. Didn’t realise the staff were waiting for the dishwasher to finish. We ordered tuna and sweet corn jacket potatoes. There was hardly any tuna it was mainly mayonnaise with bits of tuna and sweetcorn. One of my favorite comfort spots in the area. They offer a fantastic variety of food, and the dining space is clean and spacious. The staff is incredibly friendly, and I love starting my day with their great coffee and the sunshine! There are plenty of power outlets available, too. The cafe was unclean, with every table not even half full. The cakes and items on display were not fresh. The staff seemed more interested in chatting about their breaks than serving customers. I certainly wouldn't be in a hurry to return. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
I've been a customer of this shop for over 10 years since moving from Scotland. They always offer a great selection of food, clothing, and other items. Even during COVID, they did their best to provide good service.
