We came here on the way through from Mont Saint Michel to Bayeux with our 3 children and were quite positively surprised. From the outside this place is not really inviting and the entry is rather small, but the service was very friendly and told us to choose our places, which is very unusual in France, where the waiters normally order you to sit somewhere... The kids had quite large pizzas, that were home made and had a big choice of vegetables on them. My wife and me went for pasta, which were really good as well. Discovered this wonderful restaurant by accident whilst wandering the streets of Avranches. I was reluctant to go in as it looked really tatty on the outside but 'never judge a book by it 's cover '. Place is much bigger on the inside. We were the only ones there to begin with but place soon filled up with locals, which is always a good sign. My husband had a lovely Normandy tagliatelle dish and I had the chef 's special salad. Both excellent! Ice cream desserts looked incredible too. We had something more modest but equally delicious. Unfortunately it was the last night of our holiday otherwise we 'd definitely go back.
From the first minute everything went well. They welcome you, with smile, give us a seat, ask to use the app but didn't work for 2 of us. they were very diligent with the covid and be secure. Our waitress was nice, food was excellent. I order the salmon, the kids a pizza, and husband had burger. I can not ask better. I will recommand this place with or without kids.
Had plat du jour lunch 14 euros for 3 courses, 9.90 for just the plat. Starter was tomato salad with mozzarela toast. Mains choice was plaice with beurre blanc suace or filet mignon with green cabbage (which was mixed with bacon bits and onion). It's a popular restaurant with locals always a good sign.
