Indulgent, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweetness -Salt Straw is a must-try. My husband ordered a double scoop of the chocolate brownie and was pleasantly surprised by the generous amount of brownie in each bite. Despite already being full from dinner, we couldn't bear to waste any of it so we took half home in a container. I opted for the mango habanero sorbet, which had a nice kick in the aftertaste. I also tried the cinnamon snickerdoodle, a rich and perfectly seasoned option with snickerdoodle cookie dough. S&S doesn’t disappoint. One can tell they are very thoughtful on their ice cream choices, they are just delicious and you can taste the quality of their ingredients. I love that they provide samples as well. The only reason for the 4 star is for the ambiance of the place, it definitely needs some retouch, it’s too dark inside and that seem to reflect on the staff mood, which I often found to be a bit gloomy.
I had a mixed experience at Salt and Straw in San Diego initially, but this recent visit was much better. The flavors offered are a nice mix of unique and familiar. Despite a long line on a Wednesday evening, it moved efficiently. I tried the coffee and love nuts flavor, which included chocolate covered pecans, and I really enjoyed it. The option for a kid size portion was an added bonus.
So good! First time I’ve had it in 7 years and lived up to my first experience in Portland. The flavors of the month were cereal focused and the cornflake cookies with Marionberry jam was amazing. Olive oil ice cream was also very good as was the sea salt with caramel ribbons of course. Tried a few others as well before I decided on what I wanted. So delicious

Such an amazing ice cream shop with delicious flavors!!! Service was so great and I was extremely happy with the flavors I chose. Rhubarb crumble and hibiscus coconut are ones you don’t want to miss out on! Darren was so kind with his service and offering samples of everything we wanted to try. ?
This is likely my 5th or 6th visit to a branch of Salt and Straw. The ice creams here are fantastic, especially the Honey Lavender flavor at this location compared to the one in Seattle. There are often long lines on weekends, but the friendly and attentive staff make the experience even better!
Salt and straw in Ballard is a great location for some high quality ice cream. Street parking can be challenging to find but this location is great for walking and shopping. The ice cream is high in flavor and you can try them all if you’d like. I got the chocolate brownie.
Salt Straw has amazing Ice Cream, it's always excellent. The flavor options are always great and varied. I got a 2 scoop cone and ravaged it : The person who helped us was very nice and the line was handled efficiently. It's a great spot for dessert.
