I'm glad to see as many (what like) teenagers here. This is probably a fun job if you're young because you basically hang with your friends all layer. As a customer, I have to hang out a lot. I went all the time to Salt Straw in Seattle so I was very happy to see it was in Hayes Valley! Saturday at 6:00. A bit of a line, but it went over quickly. I appreciate how proactive their employees are with the question whether we wanted/hatten samples while we were waiting. We have the honey lavender, broken mint chocolate chip (vegan) the salted, malt, chocolate chip cookie dough. You can share the individual bowls that is great because they have so many delicious flavors! Salt Straw is definitely one of my favorite ice cream spots and I can't wait to try again their new flavors of the month!
We have frequented salt and straw at many locations and will return as it is well run and line moves fast and ice cream always an interesting surprise.For most of us, spilt scoop is plenty.Strawberry balsamic vinegar interesting and probably something people will try at least once.I got the two ones with cookie in them many tasty bites but often just tasted sweet.Chocolate brownie was lovedCinnamon snickerdoodle was enjoyedBananas foster was gone so we missed out
They give big scoops here which makes the price pretty reasonable. There was a little line but the servers work fast. They don't have much traditional flavors here but their menu didn't make me afraid to try out new flavors. We had one scoop of olive oil and one scoop of pear and bleu cheese. Their recipe is dense and rich for sure so it can be very filling. Very smooth and tasty!

eis is always a must and I am glad that salt straw was the top of our list. the smell of freshly made waffelkonen drifts down the road. I went for a classic autumn taste of pumpkin, cream cheese, graham cracker, etc. and it was delicious. beautiful mix of aromen and creamy texture. they have a packed cooler if they want to run in and go a pint.
They had loads if vegan flavours, I got to sample the Dandelion chocolate hazelnut cookies' and chai spiced eggnog' and they were both so good I had a hard time choosing, in the end I went with the eggnog. SO GOOD. 100% the best vegan ice cream I've ever had. And they give you a very generous portion so no need to get a large.
These guys seriously know how to come with big ice cream flavors. After some samples, I finally decided to go with chocolate and mango one. It definitely sounds like a strange combo, but Salt Straw did it so well! The mango cuts a little into the riches of chocolate, and the ice had amazing texture.
Got two scoops: freckled mint and vanilla. Simple yet super creamy and smooth. Service was fast and the vibe was warm and inviting. The fresh waffle smell inside made me not want to leave. Highly recommend.

Super great ice cream! If your looking for a treat that is different, then come here. They had lots of weird flavors such as Blue Cheese Pear! I had Snicker Doodle and Cinnamon. I completely recommend it!
My taste is the honey lavender. Coffee and nuts were good, but also very strong. Always get the waffle cone!
