Lunch at the Tavern was everything we were led to expect it to be and more! Service was flawless, our meals were excellently cooked and prepared and attractively presented. If anything, the quantity of food was a tad more than I am used to for lunch, but that is hardly anything to complain about. As far as value goes, considering the quality of the food and service, the cost was quite reasonable. In fact, I had expected the bill to be somewhat more than it was. We ate a late lunch on a mid week afternoon and, as expected, the noise level was low. I cannot speak to what it might be at other times, but it was quite comfortable when we were there. This historic Inn is a gem and the food is top notch. Our party enjoyed the pork entree, burger, fish and chips, curry, filet, and salmon everyone enjoyed their meals! We all ordered desserts to share and the sticky toffee pudding was a fan fav, but also rivaled by the Smith Island cake and pavlova. We love bringing our friends here when they visit us in St. Michaels. We take the Bellevue Oxford ferry over for dinner and then make the drive home after. It never disappoints. Also, Kane, our server, was very attentive and professional.
We waited 25 minutes for a server to approach our table. While our food was good, the seafood selections on the menu were quite limited for an Eastern Shore restaurant. Additionally, the ladies' room could use some updating, and the servers appeared disheveled. The inn itself gave off a sense of neglect. Overall, we were very disappointed and would not recommend the Robert Morris Inn. It used to be exceptional when the Gibsons owned it.
We returned 42 years after a honeymoon at Robert Morris and selected a superior cottage to avoid the stairs. The cottage smelled like mold and mildew visible mold above the sink (cleaned upon request).There is some type of air cleaner in the room doing something. Pink fixtures, peeling wallpaper and 60ish wall to wall carpeting complete the picture. Recommend AVOID the cottages.The food at the inn was great!

Fantastic food and service! The crab cake and oyster po-boy are fabulous, and the sticky toffee pudding, created by the British born and trained chef, is a revelation! Don't miss it! Finally, to add to the sweetness of the meal, the staff will treat you like family. Run don't walk to the Inn!
Robert Morris Inn never fails to impress! We ordered the specials, which were absolutely perfect. The rest of the fall menu looks so appealing that we’ll definitely be returning soon for more. It’s the ideal place for a cozy evening out in the fall or winter, complete with a fantastic meal.
The pork tenderloin is outstanding. The portions for all the dishes are quite generous, and thankfully, they didn't enforce their policy of charging extra for splitting orders. The service is more relaxed compared to the food. We sat in a booth that made it easy to have a conversation.
We had a very nice experience, as usual. The service was very good, the food excellent, and the ambiance very cozy and comfortable. First time for our daughter and her fiancé, and they enjoyed it as well.

I haven't eaten here yet, but the restaurant is now called Financier Chesapeake Bar Grill. It seems a bit pricey, and the beer selection is limited, with no ambers or dark beers available.
Always great fun and eats at this wonderful historical establishment!
