A hidden gem indeed! It was our first time having authentic Indonesian food and it certainly impressed us. Ordered the Mi Goreng Beef Rendang after asking the owner what they recommended. The Mi Goreng was HUGE and so savoury! Def the star of the show. The Beef Rendang was also good and unique felt like a cross between a spicy yet light curry and a Korean Galbijim soy sauce braised beef rib . The side jalapeños and kale ? were very unique! If I had to nit, I wish the garlic rice had a little more flavour. We dined in for lunch they have 2 small tables and they served us quick. I found this place while searching for Malaysian food available near me. My favourite restraunt in Markham makes Malay Thai food, so I thought I would try it. I opted for the Pad Thai. I know, not a Malaysian dish, but a dish commonly offered, so it makes it easy to compare to other establishments. The Pad Thai was good, but not close to my favourite version from Markham. This one was a bit too oily for my taste and lacked in spiciness. I was offered a packet of hot sauce when checking out, which I declined, but ended up adding hot sauce anyway at home. A really incredible hidden gem in the industrial/commercial area of the city. The food is a unique treat in a city that otherwise doesn't have many options for Indonesian/Malay food. Top quality dishes are served with passion by very pleasant owners, all at an affordable price.The only warning I would give to some people is that the seating area is very small, so it might not be a good idea to plan on dining in with a large group of people or if you were expecting a place with a fancy atmosphere as it's extremely casual. Aside from that, I would highly recommend it and would consider it one of the best food establishments in the city.
This tiny place is a hidden gem that foodies need to discover! The down-to-earth owners cook up some authentic Indonesian cuisine with a full body of flavors familiar to those who know this type of food.The chef will suggests off-menu and limited offerings everytime you come in (like the delicious Murtabak).The rendang is really well made and their Indo mi goreng is a must try. I'm going to be a regular here for sure!
Authentic, delicious Indonesian food, 10/10 will be buying take out from here more often! No dine available. Family restaurant and they are lovely. We tried: Chicken Skewers Beef Rendeng Mie Goreng Everything we tried was delicious but my personal favourite and recommendation for newcomers would be the Beef Rendeng.
