We drove from Sylmar to get barbecue because of the reviews. No more Sam's barbecue in this truck stop. They still have burgers and sandwiches. But what a disappointment to want a Tri Tip barbecue sandwich and be told no BBQ anymore. So disappointing!
This place is still called Sam's BBQ Grill, but it's now a Mexican restaurant. Absolutely no BBQ on the menu. Gal behind the counter said that they just didn't change the name when they bought it. Don't go expecting BBQ.
I called to check if they offered barbecue, and the response was no. When I asked what their menu included, she couldn't provide an answer and put me on hold twice. I decided to hang up.

The person who made my food asked me to share my thoughts, so here it goes! The fish tacos were incredible, and the steak tacos were really tasty as well.
I stopped tonight and they had no BBQ!! I asked if it was only certain days of the week and they said no more BBQ!! Take the BBQ out of your name!
Couldn't find the place. Let me know if the name has changed. Previously stated this is a Mexican restaurant.
No barbecue. I feel let down that a Mexican restaurant with this name doesn't even offer it.
