Nothing better than a chicken and avo sandwich for a late lunch... it looked delish there on the counter... but that moment of disappointment struck when when I bit into a wet soggy sandwich. I bought it to the attention of the cashier and then got verbally abused by not only the attendant but some guy sitting in a chair (perhaps the owner). I didn't want to go on without my money returned or a fresh unsoggy sanger which I so craved. The guy behind the counter was so rude - instead of apologizing he made a point of telling me he wasn't going to apologise and that I must deal with the sandwich like this as it was the ingredients fault. Walk on people, better places elsewhere and way friendlie...
Had only popped in with the intention of getting a coffee and bun but got tempted by the breakfasts. I had veal meatballs, poached eggs and dukkah with sourdough and my girlfriend had eggs benedict with pulled pork, ham and hollandaise. Both were excellent. Meatballs and napolitana sauce were really flavourful and eggs poached perfectly. Thumbs up for the eggs benedict too. Pulled pork was an odd choice but worked well and portion was huge. Coming back for cakes tomorrow
We love San Antonio, it's a pocket sized bakery that sells great coffee, sandwiches and cakes. Tony the owner is a character and has built a community of fans, as has Alex who is the most beautiful soul and a joy to interact with. When we drop in at San Antonio to buy bread, coffee, treats, have morning tea or lunch or buy after dinner party dessert we feel like we're coming home. Great food, well priced by some terrific, hard working and gorgeous upbeat people.
We were attracted by the crusty loaves in the window, even though we had just had breakfast. Got a couple of things to go - sourdough bread and muffins, all excellent. It's very busy so be prepared to queue but the bread is worth it. Interestingly, we walked through the market afterwards and the bread stall there was much more expensive! Really friendly and a great little spot just a block from the station at Milsons point.We had coffee and some tarts there with a small group of 5. Ate at the table indoors. the outdoor tables looked excellent for use on a nice day as well. The barista is very nice and does make an excellent coffee
I rated this place as 4 stars earlier this year. Have been back a few times and now rate it 5 star. The coffee is wonderful. Strong but not bitter. Excellent. The food is also of a high standard. Seating can be a bit tricky in busy periods. Excellent overall. Very friendly and helpful service.
This is more shop than cafe for me, though have been known to get the odd coffee and Muffin from here. Its all about the beautiful bread, and Im very happy we can get it at this quality in such a convenient location. Their rendition of foccacia and rye breads are excellent, recommended.
There wasn't a good range of baked goods. The food was ok. Coffee good. I just expected a bakery would have a range of breads and cakes. I wouldn't eat here again too many better places around the area. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Came across this little bakers just round the corner where we are staying , fresh every day , great selection of ready made sandwiches, cakes etc , well worth a visit ????????☕️
