One of Sao Paulo's best restaurants is an hours drive from the city . . . and well worth it! The concept is novel -- a huge array of fresh premium meat and poultry cuts, vacuum packed and displayed in choose-it-yourself refrigerators -- then grilled to your order (if you know how to order -- if you don't speak Portuguese, say "ao ponto" and you'll be fine). Lots of unusual and tasty starters, dozens of beers, and truly first-class service. We went back several days later -- just as impressive as the first time. Highly recommended.

Though a bit pricy, it's a cool concept. Just like a grocery store, you walk in to pick out the meat, cheeses, or any other refrigerated foods you'd like to buy (you can simply buy to take home too, that's why there's 2 prices on the meats) for them to cook for you. *If you arrive late on a weekend, you're stuck with the most expensive stuff last* The service is great, and the food has good flavor. Also, it's a fantastic location if you'd like to walk around or eat outside and chat with friends. Try the red pepper jelly sauce!!

They have good meat, but they have no idea how to cook. Over a huge fridge of cuts, I chose a "bife de chorizo" steak that looked quite good: perfect marble, good color, fresh. They asked me for doneness and everything. What a disappointment afterwards when they brought my "steak" chopped into tiny pieces, all dry and salty. It tasted ok, but it was such a waste of a good steak.

San costilla concept is really amazing and different from other's. You can choose the meat you will eat right from the refrigerator. After that, you can enjoy the pleasure of a nice cold beer while you start to smell the meat you've chosen being prepared. Excellent quality, excellent presentation and very nice people. While on business in Atibaia, Brazil 3 co-workers and I went here for dinner. Love the concept, you choose what meat and sides you want, they cook it for you and then bring it to your table. The food is great, the staff is even better, very attentive. I highly recommend you stop and eat here.

Had dinner here on and it was really good. I liked the concept of picking your meat from the cooler and having it cooked. The chicken hearts were very good and the caiprihinas weren’t bad either
