the sandhurst tandoori was recommended to us several years ago by a family friend. at last, it was going to try this week to get out. 3 chicken dishes, 2 rice and a nice ordered. the 3 meat dishes were selected, one from the Tandoori section, one out. kitchen recommendation and one from the wing. total price £31 now, we were really impressed. presentation, when removing the lid is excellent. finely chopped coriander on the meat dishes. She looked fantastic. very generous portions. thick sauces. no oily curry and no oil residue on our tellers. big cuts of boneless chicken. had saag also aloo was excellent. very recommend chicken shashlik and chilli chicken curry. large taste of charcoal tando...
We had a table, but the menu seemed to be leftovers from another meal. There were no napkins and we were short one plate, so we had to ask for basic items. When I ordered a bottle of champagne, only a glass was brought to us. The food came out slowly with long waits in between dishes, it seemed like take-out orders were prioritized. The desserts were not fresh as claimed, and everything tasted the same and was unappealing. The rice was grey. One member of our group had to visit the restroom eight times the next day. The waiter disappeared and did not seem to care. We will not be returning, as it ruined the birthday celebration. They only accept cash payments, not cards or phone transactions.
I wasn't overly impressed, to be honest. It wasn't what I was expecting from a curry restaurant. The restaurant was very busy with a lot of takeaway orders, so the service was a bit slow. However, they did try their best to make up for it. It wasn't great, but I suppose it was adequate.
Wow what a find the food here is simple delicious. Went there for my birthday treat with the misses. Great service great food lovely and fresh. And the portion were massive which is great. High would highly recommend this place if you want great tasting...food.
