Sitting in the middle of the room of this full restaurant, it gets a bit tight. The food nonetheless is very tasty, and located on the gorgeous Williamstown restaurant strip. I've been a very long time customer of Sangam. The food is always excellent and I've had most of the menu.But if you're at all tempted by delivery, I urge you not to. It takes forever.Stupidly, I've tried over and over, and every time it takes absolutely ages and far longer than they ever say. Should you call them to get an update there's never any real confidence that it's under control.Tonight is yet another example, and maybe the most frustrating. 50 minutes has already been 90 and the maybe new driver is maybe 10 minutes away.Dear Sangam, if you cannot offer reliable delivery, or even vaguely competent delivery within 5-10 minutes of your estimated time, don't! I don't say this lightly as I am a huge fan of Indian food and have always found the Indian food in Australia average (I'm originally from the UK and we are blessed with amazing Indian variety). Sangam Tandoori is sensational. I've had 2 takeaways and this is my first eat in experience and the food is delicious. The meats melt in your mouth and the curries are bursting with flavour. The staff are attentive but not over the top and the price is reasonable. Really great restaurant. Will definitely be returning.
Sangam has been around for a long time. The menu has not changed much but the food is reliable, eat in or take away. Our last visit was on a Monday night when almost all the adjacent restaurants were closed. There were however about 20 of us who enjoyed a meal at Sangam and knew we could get a good feed on a Monday night. Everything we ate was good from the samosas to the tandoori to the curries. First time diners at this restaurant. Nice atmosphere, welcoming staff and delicious food. We chose banquet number 2. So full we couldn't finish so they kindly let us take out desert back to our B&B. Fast service and could not fault the meal. Will definitely visit again.
I have dined in and had takeaways from here. Would recommend either. The food is delicious and i have tried most of the menu (not all at once). The atmosphere is nice and the staff are friendly and attentive with always a pleasant manner. I will be going back very soon.
If you want seriously good Indian food, then this is the place to go or take away... Lovely flavours, great service and good prices... Well priceless... If your looking for recommendations from locals as to where to go, then this place is highly recommended.
We have dined at Sangam on many occasions previously. A recent Friday evening with a party of 6 did not disappoint. The food is always fabulous with generous portions and the service is fast and friendly. A must visit when in Melbourne. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Group dinner for seven was accommodated easily and we had plenty of food with lots to share and some left over. There were a wide variety of dishes ordered and everyone was happy with their selection
