This review needs to be read in the context that when we were there it was the town fiestas and they were really busy, perhaps a bit overstretched. The staff were very attentive but struggling to cope with so many clients in all one go. They got a drinks order wrong and the bill was unceremoniously slammed on the table whilst the waitress flew past on her way to another table. The food however was mediocre and overpriced for the lack of quality it offered. We chose the place based on its good rating but were more than a little disappointed. The newest place in Escalante, probably the only attractive place besides older or straightforward run down places in the village. You can tell by the menu, by the plates and by the service and the general atmosphere that the place is new and run by willing staff, maybe a group of locals trying to make it work. Food is ok, there's nothing special in the menu, but one star down because my daughter's fried cod was half raw something that happens at home, so in a way it's what this restaurant reminded me, good or bad. Very late opening, at 9 pm.
traditional cuisine menu fantastic. I have been going for more years, and the food is great. from the first I recommend cocido montagnes or beans with clams. Those first two hurt to have it almost every day. On weekends, the menu of dishes, drink, dessert, and coffee are if you get the traditional food, you can't stop going. the staff is the one of all life, very close
advised by a very special friend, I was trying the traditional food of this climbing restaurant. I decided for a delicious mountaineering and spectacular carrilleras. a nice place in this small but charming village. terrace and outdoor bar with a very coqueto personal and decorative style. good kitchen on par that peculiar with recipes with personal touch. Although I was in the middle of December in summer it must be even more welcoming.
a place to go back every year. the treatment, close; the food, homemade, abundant and tinted. I usually ask for the vegetables and the fish they have, but anything you ask for is a right.
Great quality of products for a great price, the menu is also quite complete. It is highly recommendable for all kind of customers.
