The Saravanaa Bhavan,Interesting how this is international but I've not heard of it. My friends friend recommended this place,it's not far from Parramatta ferry terminal which means it's a little isolated My friend tried the dosa as that was what was recommended to him by his triend,a big triangular shape,he liked it but it wasn't best he had I got the thali,impressive in presentation and plenty of curries where the little dishes actually went around the whole big plate Nothing stood out though The mango lassi was ok,a little different to what I'm use tooPrices are reasonable,all the furniture is new,food came out really fast Worth trying but it's location is not the best
Within a month, I have been here a couple of times. And wow the quality and freshness of all the dishes I ordered was simply awesome. I have to give a special mention to the Saravanaa Bhavan special thali, it is a must try. Very approachable by public transport. A short bus ride from Parramatta Station. Just get off at the stop before the River. The service is friendly and the food will relieve you of the home sickness of food back in India.
We have visited Saravanaa Bhagwan for birthday lunch and order special of that day and some drinks. Food was delivered very fast and drinks not provided to us until we asked. Then told to us one of the drinks not available and just said if you want order other drinks. We cancelled our drinks and came back to home. Not a nice experience.Good stuff free parking available in basement.
Regular visitor tried various food like dosa, thali and even weekend buffet.Dosa is really the best with nice sambar, chutney etc.Food comes fast, service poor.All the items are pricey.Week-end buffet please avoid as lot of crowd, empty containers, as they refill may be once 30 mins, by that time your buffet time is over.Not value for money but one-off visits are OK

Weekend buffet starts at 9 am and closes at 11 am, Imagine what will you manage to eat if you are standing in a long line with people jumping the queue, food itmes bein refilled after a long wait, taking time to fina a table..No clear description of items served.....Never go even if its free buffet for per person.
we went there second time with a larger group and the food was extremely delicious, they catered for the group very well, great service and the food was of large servicing. We loved the experience and the taste of the food, very impressed,
Worth a visit to Saravanaa Bhavan for a South Indian feast! Chose anything on the menu and you won't be disappointed. My favourites though are onion rava dosa and the uttampum! And not to forget the Madras filter coffee!

The location is very far from Sydney CBD but it is worth travelling this far. The food is very affordable and very tasty. I love this place.
Had dinner here the other night food was great and it's didn't cost much. Service was fine but could do with a bit of work
