The staff member who assisted me was incredibly warm and friendly, patiently answering all my questions. I ended up getting a small piece of several types of baklava: pistachio, cashew, and swar (ground pistachios, which I can remember). I also tried a shredded baklava that reminded me of a delicious walnut baklava I enjoyed at the most recent LA Greek Festival. The Armenians call it cata. Yum! I could only manage a small bite of each, as they were quite sweet, but they paired perfectly with my hot green tea from Starbucks tonight. It will probably take me a few days to finish the 4-5 pieces of baklava I bought since they charge by weight.

This bakery completely disappointed me. With all the good reviews online, I trusted I was picking a good place to purchase my daughter's birthday cake last minute. The cake was purchased at around 12pm on a Sunday. We kept the cake in the fridge til 6pm when we cut it. My daughter couldn't cut thru it and we discovered that the strawberries inside were frozen. We even wondered if it could have possibly been our fridge? But then we noticed the cake and whipped cream were soft. Making us realize we were sold a frozen cake in the interior and I guess they were expecting that thing to defrost in the time we had it. This was most definitely an old cake too, the bread tasted like freezer. For $40...
I've been coming to the pasadena location for years and wanted to buy a $30 tray of baklava to bring to party Which is about 30 pieces, half of the baklava tasted like the oil or filling went rancid !! i bragged about how great they were only to see people were spiting it out! It was very embarrassing I felt I had to apologize for bringing it! We also purchased two fresh baked croissants which were very good so that's why I give them 2 stars There were a few rows of a different kind of baklava in the tray that tasted ok but the ones that were just flat on top cut into squares and also smaller rectangles were truly gross do not order that or better yet don't order any baklava from them someth...
I have been a customer for years and always loved them but last week I bought a Croissant and a tray of baklava for $30 (about 30 pieces half of the baklava tasted like the oil or the filling went rancid ! I bought them for a party and it was embarrassing especially since I was bragging about how great the baklava was from them we ended up throwing them all out . and they have gone up to about $1 each. I've visited this place three times for their authentic French macarons, and while they certainly know how to make them, each time I ended up feeling disappointed. The macarons were all stale. At $1.75 each, they’re worth it when they’re fresh, but it's disheartening to find that they consistently weren’t. It's a shame because they have a lot of tempting items on their menu, but I’m hesitant to return since I'm worried the quality won't be up to par.
This Sarkis Pastry location is awful! The customer service is completely lacking. To make matters worse, they ran out of the pastry I wanted and instead handed me the crust! When I requested a discount for receiving these dried-out corner pieces, the employee shouted that she couldn't offer any discounts, making sure everyone around could hear her. It was just disgusting!
I was disappointed...I had not been here for at least 20 years...I was looking forward to my favorites and I was disappointed.The spinach pies and baklava are still outstanding!!!
Excellent baked goods. Excellent prompt service. We enjoyed the Saj sandwiches, the sesame bread, the croissants, cheese big pastry and all the desserts... ?Yummy

The restaurant was enormous inside, featuring an astonishing variety of selections. The staff was incredibly friendly and patient!
