When we walked in, the hostess was chatting with a waiter or bus boy and didn't greet us. When we were about to leave, a waiter came and asked us if we were served. Once we were ready to order, we had to call the waiter to take our order as he was not coming. The food came quickly but wasn't great. Then, the waiter never came back to check on us. We were ready to leave and were waiting a long time. We had our jackets on for a while (so the waiter can see us and come to give us the bill) but the waiter didn't come until we got up to leave. To sum it up, the service was horrible, the food was nothing special and somewhat disappointing, and it was too loud. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
First, I would like to point out that I never comment on my visits, but I had to warn others to avoid this restaurant. When making a group reservation, the restaurant charges $55 for table d'hôte with only 3 choices of meat plates. No choice of dough or pizza for an Italian restaurant... In terms of food, my steak had a burnt flavor and the vegetables were not sautéed as agreed, but boiled and without seasoning. It was a mediocre dining experience. We had on 27. May 2023 in Scala 20. We were a group of 40, they were housed upstairs and had all the place themselves. Our waitress Meagan was amazing. She was friendly, gave impeccable service, smiled all the time. Most importantly, she felt very special with attention to details. Meagan was quick to serve and make sure our food was hot. I would recommend Scala 20 to anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine. Nutrition restrictions: The boss prepared a vegan meal for one of our guests. Type of meal: Other
