On June 18, 2022, I visited this restaurant and had an unfortunate experience due to a discriminatory server who refused to attend to us. I have no intention of returning or recommending this place to others. Our family was seated outside, and the server came out but quickly turned back twice. Meanwhile, another pair of white women were seated, and the server hurried over to take their order, but they mentioned they weren't ready. During all this time, two different staff members brought water to our table but informed us they couldn't take our order. I specifically told them we were ready to order, but each time they went inside to get someone, the white server returned without approaching...
Scarsdale Metro had been a beloved fixture in the village of Scarsdale since 2000, but during my visit for a meal this weekend, I was saddened to find that it is no longer in operation after 22 years. This diner was known for its exceptional staff who were always friendly and attentive, and the food was truly quite good for a diner. Rumor has it that the restaurant has been sold and will soon be transformed into a different eatery. A sign on the door directs patrons to their sister establishment, Metro Deli, located on Palmer Avenue on the other side of Scarsdale. Thank you, Metro, for all the wonderful memories over the years; you will be greatly missed.
We ordered takeout lunch from this restaurant, but when we got home, we discovered that some of our order was missing. I called to ask if I could come back to collect the missing items. Upon arriving, I was taken to the counter where I was met with a lecture and was yelled at, being told that I was mistaken and that the items had definitely been included. I paid $78 for lunch and just wanted the items I had ordered. They eventually gave me the missing items, but it was after a very humiliating experience. I've never been treated this rudely by any business, and I will not be returning to this restaurant again.
a great find and even better experience. impressed with the breakfast, going back for the lunch. food was tasty, service was timely. always tough to find great breakfast. highly recommend. sorry about the pics. ate the food to quick.

The Scarsdale Metro Restaurant has become a treasured restaurant and thankfully continued to provide wonderful breakfasts, lunches snd dinners during the pandemic.

Fresh cooked pastrami and turkey. Fresh Brisket. I can not say enough about how nice the staff is. Food is always fresh.
